Grace Skattebo, MA

Preferred pronouns: She/her

I am a master’s level therapist who believes in fostering healing through a supportive and genuine therapeutic relationship. I use humor and warmth to connect with my clients and create a safe space for individuals of all identities and backgrounds.

I primarily work with youth (ages 8+) and their caregivers and adults of all ages experiencing difficulties related to depression, anxiety, life transitions, eating and/or body image, and trauma. I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and offer assistance with letters of support sometimes required by medical professionals for transgender and gender diverse individuals to access gender-affirming care.

I am a person-centered therapist, which means I base my approach to therapy on the unique needs, perspective, and values of each individual I work with. I am passionate about holistic mind/body healing and utilize aspects of Somatic Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness during my sessions.

I am a Midwesterner born and raised and love spending time with my people. Catch me at a coffee shop, sporting event, or reading in my free time. I also have a handsome senior pug, Jimmy, who I spend the majority of my time alongside.

Grace has been practicing for 5 years and has been licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) for one year in the state of Colorado. She is currently working under the licensed supervision of Caitlin Tharaldson MSW, LICSW while she pursues her LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) in the state of Minnesota.
