Erin graduated with her undergraduate degree in Social Work from University of Nebraska at Omaha. She then worked in community mental health for a couple of years until she relocated to Chicago for graduate school. Most of her post-graduate work has been in the medical social work and healthcare field, specifically in transplant social work and palliative care. She then transitioned to private practice therapy in June of 2021 and her strong foundation as a medical social worker has helped guide my practice specialties, particularly with grief and loss, serious medical issues, family caregiver stressors, and compassion fatigue among healthcare professionals. Erin also ran DBT and Seeking Safety groups for three years. In addition to continuing her current therapy practice, her long-term emphases are to continue to practice as a couples therapist and return to group facilitation. She has previously supervised MSW students and provisionally licensed therapists. Supervision and offering guidance to the next generations of therapists is a passion for Erin.
