Dr. Amanda Delaney, MD
Dr. Amanda Delaney is a double board certified adult psychiatrist, as well as child and adolescent psychiatrist. She completed her medical training at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her medical degree there and continued to train there for residency. She completed a child and adolescent fellowship at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she was also a chief fellow.
Dr. Delaney believes in an empathetic approach to patient care, prioritizing active listening to understand each individual's needs and concerns. Collaboration with patients is essential; she works with patients to consider preferences, while still providing evidence-based medicine to develop a treatment plan. She is thoughtful and strategic in making adjustments, ensuring that each step forward aligns with shared treatment goals. She assesses the role of psychotropic medications while using a therapeutic framework to provide care.
She specializes in anxiety, mood disorders, and obsessive compulsive disorders. She has a strong background in leadership and has a Master's of Public Health. Outside of medicine, she likes attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
